LOCOMOTIVE MODERNIZATION AND REPAIR

Skinest Rail has extensive experience in performing routine repairs, intermediate maintenance and overhauls of locomotives of all types and in the modernisation of traction rolling stock. Skinest Rail offers brand new or used railway locomotives for sale – so you'll find everything in one place.

DAUGAVPILS LOCOMOTIVE REPAIR PLANT
 

Repair operations are performed at the Daugavpils Locomotive Repair Plant (DLRR), owned by Skinest Rail. The enterprise was founded in the city of Daugavpils, Latvia, in 1866 as the central locomotive and rail car repair workshop. In 1965, the plant was fully renovated in order to provide the necessary conditions to overhaul locomotives.

The company specialises in depot repairs, intermediate maintenance and complete overhauls of all types of locomotives, works aimed at extending the service life of rolling stock, and various types of modernisation. The DLRR performs repair and modernisation (including the interior modernisation) of D1 and DR1 DMU diesel trains, as well as trains ER2 and ER9 EMU electric. It also manufactures spare parts for the needs of railway transport.

In cooperation with the DLRR, Skinest Rail provides complete rolling stock overhaul and modernisation services.
